The lodge is built on a hill overlooking a natural waterhole, the Perennial Sand River is a sanctuary for many bird species and host to wallowing Hippo’s and basking Crocodiles as it gently flows to the heartbeat of Africa not far from camp. From this Hilltop Sanctuary, if you listen carefully somewhere in the distance you may be lucky enough to hear the roar of a Lion, companionless in his courage, friendless in his magnificence or, witness the reality of life and death in its fullness, as your eyes gaze into a Marula tree, only to fall upon the illusive Leopard devouring the most graceful of all Antelope, the Impala. Or perhaps you stumble upon the Dung-beetle during a walking safari and pay homage to the courage and strength of this little creature, which has throughout time, competed with the char axes, whom have always gained favour for their beauty.

At Leopard Hills, Africa’s big game abounds and each day is different, as you explore the endless fascination of Africa’s wildlife in an open landrover. Leopard on the hunt. Lions roar at twilight. Hippo wallow in the river. Crocodile bask on a sandy bank. Overhead majestic eagles keep watch. Out walking you will discover some of the endlessly fascinating small creatures of Africa. Children - Children can be accommodated at the lodge subject to availability and dynamics of the family. Unfortunately, due to the dangers involved at certain sightings, it is up to the discretion of the manager to allow children under 12 at the lodge.

Disabled facilities - Generally speaking, our facilities for disabled visitors can be improved, and this is an area our government is working on. An increasing number of accommodation establishments have wheelchair ramps and bathroom facilities for the disabled. Almost every national park has at least one accessible chalet and many accommodation establishments have one or two wheelchair-friendly rooms. Most of our sports stadiums have accessible suites, stands or areas for wheelchairs near accessible parking as well as special toilet facilities. Most public buildings also caters for wheelchair access.
