The Blue Train is an luxurious electric train which runs a scheduled service between Johannesburg and Cape Town . Uncompromising luxury is the Blue Trains Theme. By day the elegant furnished suites offer generous lounge chairs which unequalled views of Africa. By night these are converted into subtly lit bedrooms with a choice of single or double beds. The BlueTrain has a choice of Deluxe Suite ( 4 square metres ) and Luxury Suites ( 5.13 square metres )

The Deluxe Suite has a choice of twin or double beds with shower or bath en suite. They are the slightly smaller of the two accommodation options on The Blue Train. In the evening the butler will fold your bed out of the panelling in your room, and during the day the bed in concealed. The butler is on hand all day to look after you.

At 5.13 Square Metres the Luxury Suites are the slightly larger and more upscale accommodation option on the Blue Train. Each of the suites comes equipped with its own private ensuite bathrooms and bath. The suites can be made into twin or double accommodation. Unlike the Deluxe Suite the Luxury Suite are equipped with CD Players and DVD players.
