General Information

Elephant Plains is a family owned lodge that accommodates a maximum of 24 guests, which ensures personal service and a warm, friendly atmosphere. The main lodge houses the reception, dining room, bar/lounge, wine cellar, library and curio shop. Mealtimes are sumptuous affairs with tasty international cuisine and South African specialties. Breakfast and lunch are enjoyed in the dining room or on the deck. Dinner is served around a log fire in the boma, while enjoying the mystical nocturnal sounds under the African sky. The natural design and architecture of six glass-fronted suites fall softly on the eye. Decorated in warm, earthy tones, they blend in superbly with their natural surroundings. These exclusive open-plan suites each have a lounge, double bedroom, en suite bathroom (inside/outside shower) and a private viewing deck that offers spectacular views over the riverbed.
